The RACO 8531 is a 2-1/2 inch deep, gangable steel switch box designed for versatile electrical installations in both wood and metal stud applications. Featuring an integrated 'TS' side-mount bracket with gauging tabs and recessed nailing spurs, it ensures precise and secure mounting with a 1/2-inch setback. This single-gang box includes non-metallic sheathed cable (NMSC) clamps and seven knockouts for flexible wiring configurations. Constructed from durable pre-galvanized steel, it offers a 12.5 cubic inch capacity and is UL listed for use in 2-hour fire-rated walls.
